This month we have honored National Nutrition Month, by sharing a “What I Eat in a Day” from a member of our Works Wellness Team.

I like to start my day with a bowl of oatmeal with apples, raisins, cinnamon, powdered almond butter, chia and hemp seeds. I have a mug of green tea to drink.
My mid-morning snack is plain yogurt with blueberries and banana slices. I sprinkle some ground flax seeds and sesame seeds for added fiber.
My lunch this week is a warm bowl of brown rice, black lentils, steamed kale, avocado and roasted veggies – brussel sprouts, carrots and cauliflower.
My go to afternoon snack is often brown rice crackers with almond butter and banana slices.
Dinner tonight is a teriyaki veggie noodle bowl made with whole grain soba noodles, red bell pepper, broccoli, celery, carrots and tofu.
My beverages throughout the day include herbal tea (my favorites: White Heron daybreak decaf chai and turmeric ginger) and Hint water. I use a 20 ounce water bottle to make sure I drink enough each day!
